My first encounter was Bingo - a lovely, incredibly friendly dog of Godwin's. Bingo remembered everyone who stayed at the Guest House, even years after the first meeting. He was a bit beat up by other dogs, but was lovingly cared for by Godwin and all the guests, till the old dog's passing in 2010.
Watching over our shoes.....sort of.
